'Girl in Sopmei'

Peering through an open window, a young girl's gaze and thoughts are far away. Shadows cover her features as she seems poised half in, half out of her safe hideaway. Kraisorn Chokpichit's lens captures a poignant image from Sopmei, depicting a hill tribe girl. Her people, too, are caught between ancestral customs and the 21st century. Black and white photograph on Fuji photo paper, the un-retouched photo is presented in a rain tree wood frame.
